My project starts go to get going, finally.
The boss told me that I might have to go to KC for project meeting on the last week of May. Along with the lead electrical and civil structural engineers. This is going to be one torturing trip. The current schedule is that I will leave BKK Sunday 25th May, come back on Saturday 31st May.
On the way out, I will leave BKK about 6 am, fly to Narita, Minneapolis, and arrive KC about 3 pm on Sunday. The good thing is that week is Memorial Day week, so I can have Monday off (for jet-lag.)
I will supposedly attend a few meetings from Tuesday to Friday and then fly back on Saturday. The return flight is kind of a loss, I will leave KC about 11 am on Saturday and arrive BKK at nearly midnight on Sunday.
Then I will have the whole Monday for get-lag... especially when I am supposed to be on the mandatory overtime... -_- zzz
I would like to take some vacation and travel in the US a bit... visiting the old friends, but I don't think it is appropriate.
The whole section is on mandatory overtime, I will not be a good example if I just take another week vacation, especially when the company is paying for the air ticket.
My trip is still only a plan so I haven't contacted any of my old friends in KC yet. But once I get the confirmation, I will have to contact them prior to my trip. Hopefully I can get them to buy me some dinners or pies!! :D
PS. What an annoying surprise to know that one of my ex-colleague in KC has already heard about my trip, while most people in BKK don't even know about it.
I really want to know who told him. Don't they have any other things to do besides gossiping? I am thinking (pessimistically) that they sneak on my company tie-line for their gossip phone call (so their international gossip only costs at local call rate!!)
