Starting the new week completely full of mechanical work and ZERO IT work.
Not that I didn't have any IT work to do, but I just hadn't done any. I had about a hundred emails about the IT stuff, and I just read and left them un-answered! :PThe project wanted to issue the P&IDs with Contract to the client on Tuesday. They got all the comments ready by Friday evening (KC time) and asked us to work over the weekend. Only one guy came to work on Sunday.
I thought we would be OK and could finish everything by Monday evening (KC morning) but it wouldn't go well as I thought. I just finished the last P&ID 6 pm today. (Bangkok time.) This leave the project people about 8 hours or so to review and reproduction.
I felt pretty bad that these days I could meet the dead line by hours!!
Yesterday we interviewed another guy for Instrument/Control Engineer & IT. The guy was 37 years old!! It's good I didn't know this before I went in, otherwise the conversation would have been different (in the worse way...)
I talked to him about this and that, but wasn't impressed with him at all. We had a meeting afterwards and still didn't reach to conclusion to hire anyone.
Why is it so hard for me to get out of this IT crap? :-(
