Yesterday I went to the airport to see my parents off to China. They bought a trip which included 4 day cruise along the Yangtze River (or the Yellow River). I was kinda surprised that they didn't ask me to join them this time. I guess they just thought I would have problem taking more vacation days after my diving trip.
I don't normally go to see my parents off at the airport as they travel very often, but this time I was a delivery man. My sister had some Chinese money left from her pervious trip, and wanted to give it to my parents. But she was busy in the evening, so she brought the money to me at the office.
After chatting with my parents for a while (I haven't seen them for nearly 2 weeks because I went diving last weekend), they checked their bags in, and went inside to the "passenger-only" area. I went to have a quick meal at Burger King. I didn't really care much for the food, but needed a place to sit so I can write a postcard. (I try to send postcard to my friends aborad as often as I can. I know how glad I feel when I got a postcard or a letter, especially during the time I was aborad. I think my friends would feel the same. But the post office working hours and Bangkok traffic make it difficult for me. Post offices at the airport are open 24-7, so I took the opportunity to send some postcard.)
While I was buying my food, I saw a tall, caucasian, good looking guy. In a brief moment, I thought, hmm.. this could be a guy I like to be my boyfriend. But I haven't even finished thinking.. when I saw him bending down to talk to a boy who had a very close resemblance of him. Oh, that must be his son, I thought. Then he walked together with the boy to a table, where there was a lady sitting. That must be his wife. DARN IT!!
I came back from the airport, and decided that I should really clean up my place. After the diving trip, my place was really messy. My diving gears were still lying around. The dirty cloth basket was really full. The mails have been stacked on the dining table and everywhere. I was really sweaty after I was done (or somewhat done, my place has never been completely neat and tidy anyway.) The summer has already arrived.. I could tell it for sure.
I heard the wind blowing very strong outside and thought that it might be raining soon. I sat down in front of TV and started sorting out my mails. When I finished it was already past midnight. I decided that I would watch the movie for a bit, but suddenly the electricity was out. Just my luck!! I thought. I went out to the terrace to see if other buildings were also out of electricity. And they were. Then I could smell the scent I really don't like. The Indian scent.. oh.. god.. if the electricity weren't back soon, I would have to leave the window open becuase it was really hot. And then I would have to put up with the smell.. It was not my day really.
Well, life wasn't that bad. Electricity came back while I was taking a bath. So I went to bed with the windows close, the air-condition on, and no Indian smell ^_^
And it did rain last night. I was thinking the other day that people would really enjoy splashing water during Songkran Festival this year because it was really hot and there was no sign of rain. Last year it rained during Songkran, and people felt that they didn't have as much fun splashing water, as the rain already did the work. It might be like that again this year.
